Understand Silken Moon's Serenade
Useful when…
- Providing Energy Recharge with two pieces.
- Supporting party Elemental Mastery and Lunar Reaction damage after dealing Elemental damage.
How do the set effects activate?
Two pieces grant 20% Energy Recharge. With four pieces, dealing Elemental damage grants Gleaming Moon: Devotion for 8 seconds. It increases all party members' Elemental Mastery by 60 with Nascent Gleam or 120 with Ascendant Gleam. The wearer can trigger it while off-field. All party members also gain 10% Lunar Reaction damage for each different Gleaming Moon effect party members have; Gleaming Moon effects do not stack.
When should you consider four pieces?
The four-piece effect is most relevant when the party can make use of the Elemental Mastery bonus and deals Lunar Reaction damage. Its Elemental damage trigger can come from an off-field wearer, which permits support without requiring the wearer to stay active. The Moonsign sets the listed Elemental Mastery amount, so check whether the party has Nascent or Ascendant Gleam before valuing that part of the effect.
How does it differ from nearby alternatives?
Night of the Sky's Unveiling also supports Lunar Reactions, but its four-piece Intent effect requires a nearby party member to trigger a Lunar Reaction while the wearer is on-field; it grants the wearer CRIT Rate for 4 seconds. That is a different trigger and recipient from Silken Moon's partywide Elemental Mastery effect. Flower of Paradise Lost instead boosts the wearer's Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, and Lunar-Bloom reaction damage after the wearer triggers those reactions; it is not the same broad party support effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The Elemental Mastery amount depends on the party's Moonsign.
- Lunar Reaction damage support scales by different Gleaming Moon effects present, and those effects cannot stack.
- The four-piece trigger requires dealing Elemental damage.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting Devotion to trigger without the wearer dealing Elemental damage.
- Assuming the same Gleaming Moon effect stacks.
- Overlooking that the Moonsign determines whether the Elemental Mastery bonus is 60 or 120.
