Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City

Elemental damage support set

Introduced in v5.0

Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City supports nearby party members with Energy and Elemental DMG Bonus. Consider its four-piece effect on a wearer who can trigger a reaction related to their Elemental Type, especially while in Nightsoul’s Blessing for the stronger, longer buff.

Understand Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City

Useful when…

  • Party Elemental DMG support after a related reaction
  • Off-field reaction triggering
  • Energy recovery when a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst

What do the piece bonuses do?

Two pieces restore 6 Elemental Energy to the wearer when a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst. Four pieces grant nearby party members 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved when the wearer triggers a reaction related to their Elemental Type; that lasts 15 seconds. If the wearer is in Nightsoul’s Blessing when triggering the effect, the party gains an additional 28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the involved elements, and the effect lasts 20 seconds. The wearer can trigger the four-piece effect off-field.

What makes it useful for support?

Its four-piece bonus benefits nearby party members and can trigger while the wearer is off-field, so its value is not limited to the wearer’s own damage. The involved Elemental Types depend on the reaction, and the stronger version additionally requires the wearer to be in Nightsoul’s Blessing at the trigger. The set’s DMG bonus does not stack with another set of the same name.

How does it compare with other support effects?

Celestial Gift grants an Elemental DMG Bonus for the wearer’s Elemental Type after an Elemental Skill, provided the wearer has completed Witch’s Homework; a party Hexerei: Secret Rite effect upgrades that bonus and changes the elements covered. Heart of the Furnace instead supports Stellar Glimmer reaction damage for nearby party members after the wearer triggers or deals that reaction damage. These alternatives use different triggers and buff different damage, so the reaction and party conditions matter.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The four-piece effect requires a reaction related to the wearer’s Elemental Type.
  • The stronger version requires Nightsoul’s Blessing at the trigger; same-name set bonuses do not stack.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Expecting the additional 28% Elemental DMG Bonus without Nightsoul’s Blessing at the reaction trigger.
  • Assuming multiple copies of the same set’s DMG bonus stack.

Effects and reference details

2-piece bonus

When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, the equipping character regenerates 6 Elemental Energy.

4-piece bonus

After the equipping character triggers a reaction related to their Elemental Type, all nearby party members gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 15s. If the equipping character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state when triggering this effect, all nearby party members gain an additional 28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 20s. The equipping character can trigger this effect while off-field, and the DMG bonus from Artifact Sets with the same name do not stack.
