Understand Tiny Miracle
Useful when…
- Increasing resistance to all elements with two pieces.
- Gaining additional resistance to an element after taking that type of elemental damage.
How does the resistance effect work?
Two pieces increase all Elemental RES by 20%. With four pieces, incoming elemental damage increases the corresponding Elemental RES by 30% for 10 seconds. This can occur only once every 10 seconds. The four-piece trigger is being hit by elemental damage, so it is reactive rather than a preemptive increase to a chosen element.
When is it a reasonable defensive choice?
Consider the set when elemental resistance is the goal and the wearer can take an elemental hit to activate the four-piece increase. Gambler and Scholar provide different functions: Gambler increases Skill damage with two pieces and can reset Skill cooldown after defeating an opponent with four; Scholar grants Energy Recharge and can restore Energy to party members with bows or catalysts when particles or orbs are gained. Those effects support damage or Energy rather than matching Tiny Miracle's resistance purpose.
What limits the four-piece effect?
It lasts 10 seconds and has a 10-second trigger interval. Because it requires incoming elemental damage, do not assume it will activate before the wearer takes a hit, or that the bonus applies to a different element from the incoming elemental damage described.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The four-piece resistance increase activates only after incoming elemental damage.
- The bonus lasts 10 seconds and can occur once every 10 seconds.
- Its resistance benefits are defensive rather than damage or Energy support.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the four-piece effect before taking elemental damage.
- Assuming the added resistance applies to every element instead of the incoming damage's corresponding element.
- Ignoring the 10-second duration and trigger interval.
