Understand Wanderer's Troupe
Useful when…
- Adding Elemental Mastery with two pieces.
- Increasing Charged Attack damage for a Catalyst or Bow user.
- Using a partial set when the Elemental Mastery bonus is useful but the four-piece condition does not fit.
What do the bonuses do?
Two pieces increase Elemental Mastery by 80. Four pieces increase Charged Attack damage by 35% if the character uses a Catalyst or a Bow. The four-piece description does not extend that bonus to other attack types or weapon categories.
When should a player consider it?
The two-piece effect can suit a character for whom Elemental Mastery is useful. The full set is specifically relevant to Catalyst and Bow users who deal meaningful damage with Charged Attacks. Check both parts of that condition: the character's weapon type and the attack type receiving the bonus.
What does it not cover?
The 35% bonus is conditional on using a Catalyst or Bow and applies to Charged Attack damage. It does not state a general damage increase for Skills, Bursts, or other attacks, and the weapon condition excludes other weapon types. If a character's damage pattern does not rely on eligible Charged Attacks, the four-piece effect may contribute little even when the two-piece Elemental Mastery remains useful.
How does it differ from other sets?
Ocean-Hued Clam builds a damage effect from healing, including overflow healing, and grants Healing Bonus with two pieces. A Day Carved From Rising Winds grants ATK after an attack hits and conditionally adds CRIT Rate for a character who has completed Witch's Homework. Aubade of Morningstar and Moon grants Elemental Mastery with two pieces, while its four-piece Lunar Reaction bonus depends on being off-field and on the party's Moonsign Level. Each has a distinct trigger or damage focus; none duplicates Wanderer's Troupe's weapon-gated Charged Attack bonus.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The two-piece Elemental Mastery bonus is separate from the four-piece effect.
- The four-piece Charged Attack bonus requires both a Catalyst or Bow and Charged Attack damage.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the four-piece bonus to increase Skill, Burst, or other attack damage.
- Using the four-piece effect as though it applied to every weapon type.
- Overlooking the Charged Attack condition when judging the full set.
