Emilie

Off-field Dendro damage dealer focused on Burning

Released Aug 6, 2024

Emilie places a Lumidouce Case that attacks nearby opponents and can level up by collecting Scents generated by Burning opponents. Her burst temporarily replaces the case with a Level 3 version. Her damage bonuses also reward attacking Burning opponents.

Understand Emilie

Useful when…

  • Place her skill’s case where it can collect Scents from Burning opponents.
  • Use her burst for a brief sequence of Level 3 case attacks.
  • Use her Burning damage bonuses and party protection against Burning damage.

Skill case and Scents

Fragrance Extraction deals area Dendro damage and creates a Lumidouce Case for 22 seconds; the skill cooldown is 14 seconds. The case fires Dendro puffs at nearby opponents. Burning opponents generate Scents at intervals, with one Scent created this way every two seconds; the case must collect two Scents to reach Level 2. It consumes those two Scents to release Cleardew Cologne, which deals area Dendro damage. At Level 2, the case fires one extra puff per attack and increases the damage and area of those attacks. If it collects no Scents for eight seconds while on field, it falls back to Level 1. Only one case created by Emilie can exist at a time. Creating a case also periodically summons a Pneuma-aligned Spiritbreath Thorn that deals Dendro damage.

Burst and case handling

Aromatic Explication creates a Level 3 Lumidouce Case and stows away any existing case. While active, it does not gather Scents; instead, Scented Dew attacks opponents in range, with one drop descending every 0.3 seconds and one opponent eligible to become the target every 0.7 seconds. The burst lasts 2.8 seconds, has a 13.5-second cooldown, and costs 50 Energy. When it ends, a Level 1 case is recreated; if a case was stowed away, that case returns instead and its duration resets. The skill cannot create a case while the burst is active.

Damage passives and talents

When a Level 2 case has collected two Scents, it consumes them and releases Cleardew Cologne, dealing area Dendro damage equal to 600% of Emilie’s ATK; this damage is not considered Elemental Skill damage. Rectification increases her damage against Burning opponents by 15% per 1,000 ATK, up to a 36% bonus. Headspace Capture gives all party members 85% Pyro resistance against Burning damage while her case is on field. Elemental Skill levels support case attacks, while Burst levels support the temporary Level 3 attack phase. The listed level 9-to-10 talent cost is 700,000 Mora, 16 Philosophies of Order, 12 Artificed Dynamic Gear, two Silken Feather, and one Crown of Insight.

Limitations and comparisons

Burning alone does not level up the case: Burning opponents generate Scents, and the case must collect them. The case returns to Level 1 after eight seconds without collecting Scents, and its burst version cannot collect them. Kinich and Lauma are also Dendro five-star characters, while Yaoyao is a Dendro polearm user; those element and weapon facts do not establish that they share Emilie’s case, Burning conditions, or damage protections.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The case needs to collect two Scents from Burning opponents to reach Level 2 and falls back after eight seconds without collecting Scents.
  • The burst’s Level 3 case cannot collect Scents, and the skill cannot create a case during the burst.
  • Cleardew Cologne’s damage is explicitly not Elemental Skill damage.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Assuming Burning alone levels up the case without it collecting Scents.
  • Expecting the burst case to collect Scents.
  • Applying Elemental Skill-specific bonuses to Cleardew Cologne despite its stated damage classification.

Fragrance Extraction · Elemental skill

Creates a Lumidouce Case that deals AoE Dendro DMG.

Lumidouce Case
·Fires Puffs of Puredew at nearby opponents at intervals, dealing Dendro DMG.
·When nearby opponents are affected by Burning, they will give off Scents at intervals, and 1 Scent can be created this way every 2s. The Lumidouce Case collects nearby Scents. The Lumidouce Case will level up after gathering 2 of them, after which it will fire 1 extra Puff of Puredew when firing, while the DMG dealt by and DMG AoE of the above attack will also be increased.
·1 Lumidouce Case created by Emilie herself can exist at any one time. The Case starts at Level 1 and can go up to Level 2. If the Case does not collect any Scents for 8s while it is on the field, it will go back to Level 1.

Arkhe: Pneuma

Aromatic Explication · Elemental burst

Guiding the fragrances collected within the Case, Emilie converts them into pure Dendro energy, creating a Level 3 Lumidouce Case and stowing existing Cases away.
While it exists, the Level 3 Lumidouce Case will not gather nearby Scents, but it will continuously cause Scented Dew to descend, attacking opponents within range and dealing Dendro DMG. During this time, 1 drop of Scented Dew will descend every 0.3 seconds, and 1 opponent can become the target every 0.7 seconds.
When the duration ends, a Level 1 Lumidouce Case will be recreated. If a Lumidouce Case was stowed away when using Aromatic Explication, then the Case that was stowed away will be deployed instead, and its duration will be reset.
While Aromatic Explication is active, the Elemental Skill "Fragrance Extraction" will not create a Lumidouce Case.

Purchased talent coefficients at level 1 and 1. These are individual skill values; they do not represent total build damage.

Headspace Capture

When the Lumidouce Case created by Emilie is on the field, all party members gain 85% Pyro RES against Burning DMG.
