Flins is an Electro polearm character whose Skill changes him into a short-duration form with Electro-infused normal and charged attacks and a faster special Skill. His Burst and passives center on Lunar-Charged damage, so consider him when the party can support that reaction-focused approach.

Flins GUIDE
Understand Flins
Useful when…
Using Manifest Flame and Northland Spearstorm for a distinct on-field Electro attack mode.
Building around Lunar-Charged damage and the party’s Moonsign.
Exploring Nod-Krai with his nearby-resource map display.
Manifest Flame and special Skill
Ancient Rite: Arcane Light changes Flins into Manifest Flame for 10 seconds. In this form, his normal and charged attacks deal Electro damage that cannot be overridden by other elemental infusions, his interruption resistance increases, and he cannot plunge. His Skill is replaced by Northland Spearstorm, a frontal area attack with a fixed 6-second base cooldown that other effects cannot change. Using it replaces his usual Burst with Thunderous Symphony for the next 6 seconds. This is a temporary alternate attack mode, not a separate character form to level independently.
Burst and Lunar-Charged conditions
Ancient Ritual: Cometh the Night costs 80 Energy and deals area Electro damage followed by two middle-phase and one final-phase hits; these hits are considered Lunar-Charged damage. With Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam, nearby thunderclouds add two middle-phase hits. After Northland Spearstorm, the special Thunderous Symphony is available for 6 seconds; it costs 30 Energy and deals one Lunar-Charged area hit, with an additional hit if thunderclouds are nearby under Ascendant Gleam. His Moonsign Benediction converts party Electro-Charged reactions into Lunar-Charged reactions. Flins’s ATK increases Lunar-Charged Base DMG by 0.7% per 100 ATK, up to 14%, and having him in the party raises the party’s Moonsign by one level.
Passives and exploration
Symphony of Winter states that Lunar-Charged reactions triggered by Flins deal 20% additional damage under Ascendant Gleam. Whispering Flame increases his Elemental Mastery by 8% of his ATK, up to 160. Separately, A Light in the Dark displays nearby Nod-Krai-exclusive resources on the mini-map. These effects make ATK relevant to more than one listed mechanic, while the map passive is a practical exploration benefit rather than a combat multiplier.
Talent investment and handling limits
His normal attack track covers his ordinary spear sequence; his Skill and Burst tracks govern the central damage actions described above. If investing for the Lunar-Charged play pattern, the Skill and Burst are the relevant combat tracks to consider, while the value of normal attacks depends on how much time he spends attacking in Manifest Flame. Ascension and talent upgrades require Mora and region-specific materials; the listed level-10 talent example includes a Crown of Insight and two Ascended Sample: Queen. Remember that the special Burst window begins after Northland Spearstorm and lasts only 6 seconds, and Manifest Flame removes the ability to plunge.
Comparison context
Varesa, Ineffa, and Clorinde are listed as Electro characters; Varesa uses a catalyst, Ineffa a polearm, and Clorinde a sword. Those facts alone do not show that they convert Electro-Charged reactions to Lunar-Charged, use Flins’s special Skill-to-Burst sequence, or are direct substitutes.
Limitations and tradeoffs
His key attack mode is temporary, and the special Burst is available only for 6 seconds after the special Skill.
The listed Lunar-Charged conversion and extra Burst hits depend on party/reaction conditions and, for thundercloud bonuses, nearby thunderclouds.
Manifest Flame prevents plunging attacks.
Common mistakes to avoid
Using the special Burst outside the 6-second window after Northland Spearstorm and expecting Thunderous Symphony.
Expecting the thundercloud bonus hits without nearby thunderclouds and Ascendant Gleam.
Trying to plunge during Manifest Flame.
