Understand Klee
Useful when…
- On-field Pyro damage against groups
- Skill damage and mine coverage
- Mondstadt resource tracking during exploration
How her attacks and abilities work
Her normal attack performs up to three explosive AoE Pyro hits. Her charged attack costs 50 Stamina at talent level 1 and deals AoE Pyro damage. Jumpy Dumpty has two charges: each throw bounces three times for AoE damage, then creates mines that explode on enemy contact or after a short delay; the displayed mine duration is 15 seconds and the skill cooldown is 20 seconds. Sparks 'n' Splash continuously attacks nearby enemies for 10 seconds, with a 15-second cooldown and 60 Energy cost. These listed parameters are talent-level-one values.
Charged attacks and team utility
Damage from Jumpy Dumpty and normal attacks each gives Klee a 50% chance to gain an Explosive Spark. Her next charged attack consumes it, costs no Stamina, and deals 50% more damage. A charged attack that crits restores 2 Energy to all party members. This makes charged attacks useful after a Spark appears and gives them a team-energy benefit when they crit; neither effect guarantees a Spark or a critical hit.
Investment and practical limits
If using Klee as the on-field attacker, consider prioritizing her normal attack and skill because they support her repeated explosive attacks and mine damage; invest in the burst as well if you use its full active window. This is conditional guidance, not a fixed ranking: the supplied progression shows all three combat talents can be raised from level 1 to 10, and the level 9-to-10 example for each costs 700,000 Mora, materials, a Ring of Boreas, and a Crown of Insight. Charged attacks otherwise spend Stamina, and her burst has a 60 Energy cost. She also reveals nearby Mondstadt-specific resources on the mini-map.
Related choices
Yanfei is another Pyro catalyst character, while Chevreuse is a Pyro polearm user; those shared element or weapon details alone do not establish that either fills Klee's on-field explosive-attack role. Nicole is also listed as a Pyro catalyst character, but no ability details are provided here for a role comparison.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Charged attacks cost Stamina unless an Explosive Spark is consumed.
- The burst requires 60 Energy and attacks nearby opponents for a limited 10-second duration.
- The skill's mines can remain briefly before exploding if no opponent triggers them.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting every normal hit or skill hit to produce an Explosive Spark; each only has a 50% chance.
- Spending Stamina on a charged attack while a Spark is available, instead of consuming the Spark for a free, stronger attack.
- Assuming the burst remains active after swapping; the supplied effect only states its duration and nearby-target behavior.
