Dendro catalyst who links marked enemies and triggers follow-up Dendro damage when they react or take damage from Dendro Cores. Consider Nahida when you want to apply Dendro across several targets and amplify reaction-focused play, including from off field.
Released Nov 2, 2022
Nahida combines multi-target Dendro marking with a burst field that improves her skill’s Tri-Karma Purification according to party elements. Her skill and burst support both on-field and off-field use; her passive also lets her collect certain harvestable items remotely.

Nahida GUIDE
Understand Nahida
Useful when…
Mark several enemies so reactions on one can trigger linked Dendro damage on others.
Add Dendro application and reaction damage to a team that can benefit from Pyro, Electro, or Hydro effects in her burst field.
Collect some harvestable items from a distance with her skill.
How do her attacks and skill work?
Her catalyst attacks deal Dendro damage. The normal string has up to four hits; her charged attack costs stamina and deals area damage. Her skill can be tapped for area damage and marks up to eight enemies, or held to aim at a limited number of targets within a limited area. Holding increases her resistance to interruption during aiming; aiming lasts up to five seconds. Marks last 25 seconds at the listed level-one values. Marked enemies are linked within a distance, and a reaction on a marked target—or damage from Dendro Cores, including Hyperbloom and Burgeon—triggers Tri-Karma Purification against it and connected marked targets. This effect has a short trigger interval, so it is not triggered by every hit.
What does her burst add?
Illusory Heart creates the Shrine of Maya, with a 15-second base duration and 50 Energy cost at the listed level-one values. Pyro party members increase Tri-Karma Purification damage while Nahida is within the field; Electro members shorten its trigger interval; Hydro members extend the field duration. Having at least two party members of one of those elements strengthens that element’s effect. The effects still apply to party members within the field when Nahida is off field. Her passive also gives the active character within the field 25% of the party member’s highest Elemental Mastery, up to 250. Her other combat passive improves Tri-Karma Purification when her own Elemental Mastery exceeds 200, with stated caps of 80% damage bonus and 24% CRIT Rate.
What should you improve first?
If you rely on her marked-target damage, prioritize the elemental skill: it supplies the marks and its level determines Tri-Karma Purification damage. Her burst is valuable when its field buffs and Elemental Mastery sharing support the party, so invest according to how often those effects matter. Normal attacks are a lower priority when she mainly applies Dendro and triggers damage through her skill. Ascension uses Kalpalata Lotus and Quelled Creeper at the listed stages; talent upgrades use Ingenuity books and fungal materials, with Puppet Strings and a Crown of Insight shown for the level 9-to-10 example. Those are separate investments, so weigh talent costs against how often you use each part of her kit.
What should you watch for?
The skill’s link reaches only a certain distance, and its reaction trigger has an interval; marking many enemies does not mean every target is hit by every reaction. Burst buffs depend on party elements, and its elemental effects are strengthened by having at least two party members of the relevant type. Do not treat the passive’s Elemental Mastery share as an unconditional flat amount: it depends on the party member with the highest Elemental Mastery and is capped. The comparison entries identify other Dendro characters, but provide no kit details to establish that they replace Nahida’s linked marking or field effects.
Limitations and tradeoffs
Her skill links and marks multiple targets, but enemies must remain within link distance and the skill has a trigger interval.
Burst value depends on party composition and field positioning.
Investing in normal attacks yields less when she is used mainly for skill-based application and damage.
Common mistakes to avoid
Assuming Tri-Karma Purification triggers on every hit; it has a short interval.
Leaving linked enemies too far apart to share the skill’s follow-up damage.
Ignoring party-element conditions when relying on the burst’s Pyro, Electro, or Hydro bonuses.
