Electro polearm character who supports burst damage and energy recovery, then spends field time in an Electro-infused sword stance from her burst. Consider Raiden Shogun when the party uses costly bursts and can build Resolve before her burst.
Released Sep 1, 2021
Raiden Shogun grants coordinated Electro attacks and an Elemental Burst damage bonus through her skill. Her own burst consumes Resolve built from teammates' burst energy costs, deals an initial area hit, and changes her attacks into a temporary Electro tachi stance that restores party energy. Her Energy Recharge also improves both her energy restoration and Electro damage.

Raiden Shogun GUIDE
Understand Raiden Shogun
Useful when…
Support party bursts with the Eye of Stormy Judgment's damage bonus and coordinated attacks.
Build Resolve from other party members' burst costs, then use Musou Shinsetsu for her own burst window.
Use her tachi hits to restore energy to nearby party members during the stance.
Skill support
Transcendence: Baleful Omen deals nearby Electro damage and gives nearby party members the Eye of Stormy Judgment. When a buffed character deals damage with an attack, the Eye makes a coordinated area Electro hit at the opponent's location. It can trigger once every 0.9 seconds per party; hits generated by characters not controlled by you deal 20% of normal damage. The Eye also raises characters' Elemental Burst damage according to the Energy Cost of their bursts. Its duration is 25 seconds and cooldown is 10 seconds, making it a long-lasting support effect.
Burst stance and Resolve
Secret Art: Musou Shinsetsu opens with area Electro damage, then gives Raiden a seven-second Musou Isshin stance. Her normal, charged, and plunging attacks become Electro damage that cannot be overridden; these hits restore Energy to nearby party members, once per second up to five times. Her stance attacks count as Elemental Burst damage. She also gains increased interruption resistance and immunity to Electro-Charged reaction damage. Leaving the field ends the stance. The burst costs 90 Energy and its initial and stance damage rise with the Resolve stacks consumed. Chakra Desiderata gains stacks when nearby party members other than Raiden use bursts, based on their Energy costs, up to 60; gaining elemental particles or orbs adds two stacks no more than once every three seconds.
Energy Recharge and investment
Every 1% Energy Recharge above 100% gives Raiden 0.6% more Musou Isshin energy restoration and 0.4% Electro damage bonus. This makes Energy Recharge serve both utility and damage in her kit. Consider burst levels first when investing in her personal burst window; skill levels improve the Eye's coordinated attacks and burst damage bonus. Ascension supports general progression. Her passive reduces Mora spent when ascending swords and polearms by 50%.
Limitations and alternatives
The stance ends if Raiden leaves the field, so switching out cuts short its attack and energy-restoration window. The skill's coordinated attacks have a party-wide trigger interval, and off-field-controlled characters produce reduced damage. Varesa, Clorinde, and Flins are listed Electro candidates, but their weapon types alone do not show that they offer Raiden's burst support or energy restoration.
Limitations and tradeoffs
Her personal burst benefits from Resolve gained through other party members' bursts, so its strength is conditional on party burst costs and timing.
Leaving the field ends Musou Isshin early, so the stance requires a dedicated on-field window.
Common mistakes to avoid
Switching Raiden out during Musou Isshin and ending the stance early.
Ignoring Resolve generation from teammates' burst energy costs before relying on burst damage.
Treating the 0.9-second Eye trigger interval as applying separately to each character; it is once per party.

Secret Art: Musou Shinsetsu · Elemental burst
Gathering truths unnumbered and wishes uncounted, the Raiden Shogun unleashes the Musou no Hitotachi and deals AoE Electro DMG, using Musou Isshin in combat for a certain duration afterward. The DMG dealt by Musou no Hitotachi and Musou Isshin's attacks will be increased based on the number of Chakra Desiderata's Resolve stacks consumed when this skill is used.
Musou Isshin While in this state, the Raiden Shogun will wield her tachi in battle, while her Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks will be infused with Electro DMG, which cannot be overridden. When such attacks hit opponents, she will regenerate Energy for all nearby party members. Energy can be restored this way once every 1s, and this effect can be triggered 5 times throughout this skill's duration. While in this state, the Raiden Shogun's resistance to interruption is increased, and she is immune to Electro-Charged reaction DMG. While Musou Isshin is active, the Raiden Shogun's Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG will be considered Elemental Burst DMG.
The effects of Musou Isshin will be cleared when the Raiden Shogun leaves the field.
Chakra Desiderata When nearby party members (excluding the Raiden Shogun herself) use their Elemental Bursts, the Raiden Shogun will build up Resolve stacks based on the Energy Cost of these Elemental Bursts. The maximum number of Resolve stacks is 60.
