Understand Sucrose
Useful when…
- Sharing Elemental Mastery after Swirl or Stellar Swirl
- Grouping opponents and objects with skill or Burst
- Absorbing an eligible element into her Burst
- Crafting Character or Weapon Enhancement Materials
Skill and Burst control
Astable Anemohypostasis Creation - 6308 creates a small Wind Spirit that pulls opponents and objects toward it, launches opponents within its area, and deals Anemo damage. Its listed cooldown is 15 seconds. Forbidden Creation - Isomer 75 / Type II creates a larger Wind Spirit that continuously pulls opponents and objects, launches nearby opponents, and deals Anemo damage for six seconds. If the Wind Spirit contacts Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro energy, it gains additional damage of that element; absorption can occur only once per use. The Burst has a 20-second cooldown and costs 80 Energy. Grouping is the direct practical use of both abilities; the larger spirit's elemental addition depends on contact, so do not expect a chosen element without the corresponding energy source.
Elemental Mastery support and investment
Catalyst Conversion increases Elemental Mastery by 50 for eight seconds for party members other than Sucrose whose element matches the element involved when she triggers Swirl or Stellar Swirl. Mollis Favonius separately activates when either her skill or Burst hits an opponent, giving the other party members Elemental Mastery equal to 20% of Sucrose's Elemental Mastery for eight seconds. These are distinct conditions: the first needs her reaction and only applies to matching-element allies, while the second needs an ability hit and scales from her own Elemental Mastery. Build investment around the support effect you want to use, and prioritize the skill or Burst talent when its damage and control are part of your plan; the Elemental Mastery passives themselves state their own scaling and trigger rules. Her normal attacks deal Anemo damage, but they do not activate Mollis Favonius by themselves.
Limitations and crafting utility
Sucrose's Burst can absorb only one element per use, and its extra elemental damage requires contact with Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro energy. Her Elemental Mastery sharing is not a blanket permanent party increase: each effect has an eight-second duration and a separate trigger. Astable Invention gives a 10% chance to obtain double the product when crafting Character and Weapon Enhancement Materials.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Her reactions can share Elemental Mastery only with matching-element party members; her skill or Burst hit provides a separate party-wide scaling effect.
- The Burst continuously groups and damages for six seconds, but only one elemental absorption can occur per use.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating both Elemental Mastery passives as the same effect or assuming either one is permanent.
- Expecting the Burst to absorb several elements during one cast.
- Assuming her 10% crafting passive applies to materials outside Character and Weapon Enhancement Materials.
