Understand Favonius Sword
Useful when…
- A sword wielder who values Energy Recharge and can land CRIT hits.
- A build where periodic particle generation is useful alongside the weapon’s secondary stat.
Effect and trigger conditions
At Refinement 1, a CRIT hit has a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which restore 6 Energy for the character. The effect can occur once every 12 seconds. By Refinement 5, its chance is 100% and the interval is 6 seconds, while the listed Energy restoration remains 6. The Energy Recharge secondary stat is distinct from this proc. A CRIT hit is required, and the cooldown still limits how often the effect can occur.
Practical use and alternatives
Favonius Sword fits a sword user with Energy needs who can trigger CRIT hits, especially when periodic particles are useful to the wielder. Amenoma Kageuchi also has a 4-star sword profile but uses ATK as its secondary stat and restores Energy through Skill-created Succession Seeds consumed after a Burst. Aquila Favonia instead has Physical DMG Bonus and triggers its HP restoration and surrounding damage after the wielder takes damage. Absolution is a 5-star CRIT DMG sword whose damage bonus is tied to increasing Bond of Life value. These alternatives rely on different stats and conditions rather than duplicating Favonius Sword’s particle trigger.
Refinement and ascension
Refining raises the particle chance from 60% to 100% and reduces the possible trigger interval from 12 to 6 seconds; it does not increase the listed 6 Energy restoration. The shown steps consume another Favonius Sword copy and Mora. Ascension is a separate progression through six stages with its own listed materials and Mora. Refinement directly improves the passive’s chance and frequency, while ascension advances the weapon through its stage track. Consider the cost of sacrificing copies before committing to more refinement.
Practical cautions
Do not assume the weapon creates particles on every hit: the hit must CRIT, and the proc is limited by its interval. Even at Refinement 5, the six-second limit remains. Also distinguish this weapon’s particle restoration from Energy Recharge, which is the secondary stat. Amenoma Kageuchi’s Energy recovery uses its own Skill-and-Burst seed conditions, so its recovery should not be counted as the same passive effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Particle generation requires a CRIT hit and is chance-based below Refinement 5.
- The passive remains limited by its cooldown at every refinement.
- Refinement consumes another copy without increasing the listed Energy restored per proc.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming any hit can trigger particles without CRIT.
- Treating the Refinement 5 passive as cooldown-free.
- Confusing the passive’s 6 Energy restoration with the Energy Recharge secondary stat.
