Understand Flame-Forged Insight
Useful when…
- Energy and Elemental Mastery for a claymore user in teams triggering a listed reaction.
- Off-field use when the wielder is equipped and the team triggers an eligible reaction.
Which reactions activate it?
When Electro-Charged, Lunar-Charged, Bloom, Lunar-Bloom, Crystallize, or Lunar-Crystallize is triggered, the weapon restores Energy and increases Elemental Mastery for 15 seconds. At refinement 1, it restores 12 Energy and grants 60 Elemental Mastery; refinement 5 raises these to 24 Energy and 120 Elemental Mastery. The effect can occur at most once every 15 seconds and may trigger while the wielder is off-field. It requires one of the named reactions; other reactions are not listed as triggers.
Who gets practical value?
The weapon is most relevant when a claymore wielder benefits from Elemental Mastery and Energy and the party reliably triggers at least one of the named reactions. Off-field activation means the wielder does not have to be active when the reaction occurs, though the cooldown still limits how often the effect can happen. Its secondary stat is Elemental Mastery, matching reaction-oriented use; it does not state a direct ATK or general damage bonus.
What investment makes sense?
Ascension increases the weapon through stages; the listed examples use Sacred Lord materials, shellshard materials, and Transoceanic materials. Refinement raises both the Energy restored and the Elemental Mastery bonus, using Drifter’s Crystal Marrow and Mora. The examples show one marrow and 1,000 Mora for refinement 1 to 2, and one marrow and 8,000 Mora for 4 to 5. Refinement matters most when eligible reactions occur often enough for the 15-second effect to be part of the user’s regular play.
How do the claymore comparisons differ?
The Mega Magic Sword supplies Energy Recharge and ATK, with its additional ATK tied to support from Melusines helped in Merusea Village. A Teaspoon of Transcendence gives ATK and strengthens Stellar-Conduct and Stellar Swirl reaction damage after charged-attack hits. A Thousand Blazing Suns activates from Skill or Burst use and has an additional Nightsoul’s Blessing condition. Those effects have different triggers and stats; they are relevant alternatives only when their own conditions match the character and party.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Only the six named reactions trigger the passive.
- The effect is limited to once every 15 seconds, even though its buff lasts 15 seconds.
- It provides Energy and Elemental Mastery rather than a stated general ATK or damage bonus.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming any elemental reaction can trigger the passive.
- Expecting more than one activation per 15 seconds.
- Keeping the wielder on-field solely to trigger an effect that can activate off-field.
