Understand Fleuve Cendre Ferryman
Useful when…
- Increasing the chance for Elemental Skill damage to critically hit.
- Supporting energy needs with an Energy Recharge secondary stat and brief Skill-triggered Energy Recharge bonus.
What are its effects and timing?
The weapon increases Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 8% at refinement 1, rising to 16% at refinement 5. After the wielder uses an Elemental Skill, Energy Recharge increases by 16% for five seconds at refinement 1, reaching 32% at refinement 5. Its secondary stat is also Energy Recharge. The Skill CRIT Rate is specific to Skill damage; the temporary Energy Recharge increase has a five-second duration and requires a Skill use.
Which sword users should consider it?
It suits a character whose Elemental Skill deals damage and whose Burst energy requirements make Energy Recharge useful. The short bonus rewards using the Skill before an energy-relevant window, but it does not increase Skill damage directly or grant a general CRIT Rate bonus. If a character’s Skill contributes little damage, the Skill CRIT Rate portion may have limited impact even when the Energy Recharge remains useful.
How do its upgrades work?
Ascension advances the weapon through stages; the listed materials include Ancient Chord items, Tainted Water materials, Transoceanic materials, and Mora. Refinement raises both the Skill CRIT Rate and the temporary Energy Recharge bonus. It uses Martens’ Omni-Fix and Mora; examples show one fix and 1,000 Mora for refinement 1 to 2, and one fix and 8,000 Mora for refinement 4 to 5. Consider refinement when both the Skill damage and the short Energy Recharge window are relevant to the wielder.
How do the alternatives differ?
Amenoma Kageuchi returns Energy after accumulating Skill-generated seeds and using a Burst, while Fleuve Cendre Ferryman supplies Energy Recharge and Skill CRIT Rate without that seed-consumption sequence. Absolution offers CRIT DMG and a damage bonus when Bond of Life value increases. Aquila Favonia has ATK and Physical DMG Bonus with an effect triggered by taking damage. These options have different stat profiles and triggers, so their presence does not make them automatic substitutes.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Skill CRIT Rate applies only to Elemental Skill damage.
- The additional Energy Recharge lasts five seconds after Skill use, so it is not a permanent increase beyond the weapon’s secondary stat.
- Its strongest fit depends on needing Energy Recharge and dealing meaningful Skill damage.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Applying the Skill CRIT Rate to normal attacks or Burst damage.
- Treating the temporary Energy Recharge bonus as permanent rather than a five-second effect after Skill use.
- Confusing its short Energy Recharge bonus with Amenoma Kageuchi’s separate seed and Burst energy-return mechanic.
