Understand Forest Regalia
Useful when…
- Use it when Energy Recharge is useful and the party triggers Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Lunar-Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon.
- Plan for the Leaf to be collected by the character who should receive its Elemental Mastery; the effect can be triggered while the wielder is off-field.
Stats and Leaf conditions
Forest Regalia has 43.73 Base ATK and Energy Recharge as its secondary stat. After triggering Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Lunar-Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, the wielder creates a Leaf of Consciousness near the character. The Leaf lasts at most 10 seconds before disappearing. Picking it up grants 60 Elemental Mastery for 12 seconds at Refinement 1, rising to 120 at Refinement 5. Only one Leaf can be generated this way every 20 seconds, and its effect cannot stack. The reaction can trigger the effect while the wielder is off-field, but the Leaf still needs to be collected.
Practical use
The weapon combines Energy Recharge with a reaction condition, so it can suit a claymore user in a party that reliably triggers one of the listed reactions. Keep track of where the Leaf appears and who collects it: the Elemental Mastery bonus goes to the character who picks it up. Off-field triggering can help a wielder who is not active when the reaction occurs, but it does not remove the pickup requirement or the 20-second generation limit.
Investment and alternatives
Ascension takes the weapon through six stages; the provided examples list Mora and weapon materials at selected steps. Refining consumes another copy and Mora, raising the Leaf’s Elemental Mastery value by 15 per rank. Refinement is most worthwhile when the party regularly triggers the required reactions and can collect the Leaf during its short appearance window. Ultimate Overlord’s Mega Magic Sword shares the Energy Recharge secondary stat but instead increases ATK, with an additional amount based on Melusines helped in Merusea Village. A Teaspoon of Transcendence raises ATK and boosts Stellar-Conduct and Stellar Swirl reaction damage after Charged Attack hits. A Thousand Blazing Suns grants a timed ATK and CRIT DMG effect after Skill or Burst use, with added conditions for extending it and for Nightsoul’s Blessing. Those effects have different triggers and benefits; none replicates Forest Regalia’s Leaf pickup.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The Elemental Mastery bonus requires a listed reaction, a Leaf pickup, and timing within its maximum 10-second appearance.
- Only one Leaf can be generated every 20 seconds, and its effect does not stack.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the Leaf’s Elemental Mastery is granted automatically when the reaction happens; it must be picked up.
- Expecting multiple Leaves or stacked Leaf effects inside the 20-second generation limit.
