Understand Hakushin Ring
Useful when…
- Supporting nearby party members whose element was involved in an Electro reaction.
- Equipping an Electro catalyst who can reliably trigger reactions while contributing Energy Recharge.
What triggers the buff?
The wielder must trigger an Electro elemental reaction. Nearby party members whose Elemental Type was involved receive a matching Elemental DMG Bonus for 6 seconds. At refinement 1 the bonus is 10%; at refinement 5 it is 20%. The weapon’s secondary stat is Energy Recharge.
Who can use it well?
Consider it when an Electro catalyst can trigger the reaction and nearby teammates deal damage with an element involved in it. The effect is conditional on the wielder triggering the reaction; it is not a general bonus to every party element. Elemental Bonuses from this weapon cannot be stacked.
How much should you invest?
Ascension raises the weapon through six stages. Refinement consumes a duplicate copy and increases the reaction-triggered bonus from 10% to 20% across ranks 1–5. Refining is most relevant when the team regularly uses the buff; the extra value is a conditional team bonus, so weigh duplicate copies against other weapon needs.
How does it compare?
A Thousand Floating Dreams instead gives its wielder party-composition buffs and grants nearby teammates Elemental Mastery; it does not use Hakushin Ring’s Electro-reaction trigger. Angelos’ Heptades requires the wielder to create a shield for its party damage and Energy effects. These have different conditions and are not automatic replacements. Apprentice’s Notes is a 1-star catalyst with no secondary stat listed.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The elemental bonus lasts only 6 seconds and requires the wielder to trigger an Electro reaction.
- The buff applies only to nearby party members of an element involved in the reaction and cannot stack with another instance of this weapon’s elemental bonus.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the wielder merely being present in an Electro reaction is enough; the wielder must trigger it.
- Expecting the buff to cover party elements that were not involved in the reaction.
- Expecting multiple copies of this weapon’s elemental bonuses to stack.
