Jadefall's Splendor

HP-scaling catalyst with off-field Energy restoration and elemental damage support.

Released May 2, 2023

Jadefall’s Splendor is a five-star Catalyst with HP as its secondary stat. Consider it for an equipping character whose Max HP contributes to their Elemental DMG Bonus and who can trigger its effect with an Elemental Burst or by creating a shield. Its effect continues off-field, so it can also suit a character who switches out after triggering it.

Understand Jadefall's Splendor

Useful when…

  • HP-based elemental damage with a Burst or shield trigger
  • Off-field Energy restoration after triggering the passive
  • Catalyst builds that can use both HP and elemental damage

What triggers its effect?

After the equipping character uses an Elemental Burst or creates a shield, Primordial Jade Regalia becomes available for 3 seconds. While active, it restores 4.5 Energy every 2.5 seconds at Refinement 1 and gives the character Elemental DMG Bonus for their own element: 0.3% per 1,000 Max HP, capped at 12%. The effect still works while the character is off-field. Higher refinements raise the Energy restoration and HP-based bonus; at Refinement 5 those values are 6.5 Energy and 1.1% per 1,000 Max HP, capped at 44%.

Who makes practical use of it?

The passive favors a character who has substantial Max HP and whose damage uses their own Elemental DMG Bonus. The Burst or shield requirement makes access to the effect dependent on that character’s kit and timing; merely equipping the Catalyst does not activate it. Its off-field clause makes triggering the effect before switching a supported use. A Thousand Floating Dreams instead provides Elemental Mastery or elemental damage based on other party members’ elements, and grants nearby party members Elemental Mastery, so its value follows different party and build conditions.

How should you invest?

Weapon ascension is the direct investment track for improving the weapon’s base stats. Refinement consumes another copy and increases the passive’s Energy and HP-based bonus; weigh that copy cost against the size of the improvement before refining. Refinement 1 already has the full trigger and off-field behavior. The supplied ascension examples show Mora and material costs at stages 0–1, 3–4, and 5–6.

What are its limits?

The HP conversion is capped, so HP beyond the cap does not increase this passive’s Elemental DMG Bonus. The effect requires a Burst or shield and has a 3-second activation window; do not assume it is continuously active simply because the character has high HP. Apprentice’s Notes is a one-star Catalyst with no secondary stat, but its basic profile does not make it a like-for-like alternative to this weapon’s HP scaling and passive.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The passive needs a Burst or shield trigger and its damage bonus is capped.
  • Its HP scaling is most relevant when the wielder benefits from HP and matching-element damage.
  • Refinement requires another copy.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Counting the passive as active without using a Burst or creating a shield.
  • Assuming the HP-based Elemental DMG Bonus can exceed its cap.
  • Ignoring the 3-second trigger window when planning a swap.
