Understand Kagura's Verity
Useful when…
- Characters whose Elemental Skill damage is a meaningful part of their output
- A wielder able to use Skills often enough to build three stacks
- A catalyst build that values CRIT DMG and elemental damage
How do Kagura Dance stacks work?
Using an Elemental Skill grants Kagura Dance, increasing the wielder’s Elemental Skill DMG and Stellar-Conduct DMG by 12% for 24 seconds at Refinement 1. The effect can reach three stacks. At three stacks, the character also gains 12% All Elemental DMG Bonus. Refinement 5 raises each of those values to 24%. The passive’s full benefit therefore requires building three stacks; a single Skill use does not immediately grant the three-stack All Elemental DMG Bonus.
When does it fit a build?
The CRIT DMG secondary stat supports damage builds, while the passive specifically rewards Elemental Skill damage and repeated Skill use. A Thousand Floating Dreams is a different catalyst option: its party members grant the wielder EM for matching elemental types or elemental damage bonus for different types, and it also grants nearby party members EM. That option is tied to party composition and EM use rather than Kagura’s Skill-stack condition. Angelos’ Heptades instead activates its team damage effect after the wielder creates a shield, so it depends on a shield trigger rather than Skill stacking.
How should you invest?
Ascension improves the weapon’s base stats. Refinement raises the damage percentages at each stack and the three-stack All Elemental DMG Bonus, but costs another copy. Refinement is most relevant when the wielder uses the passive consistently; compare that incremental gain with the value of keeping another copy. The supplied ascension examples show costs at stages 0–1, 3–4, and 5–6.
What limits the passive?
The stack lasts 24 seconds, and the extra All Elemental DMG Bonus is explicitly tied to possessing three stacks. A character with infrequent Skill use may have trouble building the full effect in a useful time. Do not count Stellar-Conduct as a general bonus to all damage: it is named separately from Elemental Skill DMG and the three-stack All Elemental DMG Bonus.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The largest passive benefit requires three Skill-use stacks.
- The damage bonuses focus on Skills and Stellar-Conduct rather than every damage source.
- Refinement consumes another copy.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming one Skill use immediately grants the three-stack bonus.
- Letting the 24-second stack duration lapse while expecting the full effect.
- Applying the named Skill and Stellar-Conduct bonuses to unrelated damage sources.
