Understand Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds
Useful when…
- Use for sustained elemental damage when the character remains in combat long enough to build stacks.
- Consider its Movement SPD bonus when faster movement is useful.
Effects and buildup
The weapon grants 10% Movement SPD. In battle, it grants an Elemental DMG Bonus every four seconds, up to four stacks. At refinement 1, each stack is 8%, for up to 32%; at refinement 5, each is 16%, for up to 64%. Four stacks require four total four-second intervals after entering combat. The stacks last until the character falls or leaves combat.
Choosing between catalyst effects
Lost Prayer offers CRIT Rate and a bonus that builds with time in combat. A Thousand Floating Dreams instead has Elemental Mastery and party-composition-based buffs: other party members can grant the wielder Elemental Mastery or elemental DMG Bonus, and nearby party members gain Elemental Mastery. Angelos' Heptades offers ATK and, after its wielder creates a shield, party damage and energy effects. These weapons have different stats and activation conditions.
Ascension and refinement
The weapon has six ascension stages; listed examples give Mora and materials for selected transitions. Refinement consumes a copy and Mora. It raises the Elemental DMG Bonus per stack from 8% at R1 to 16% at R5, while the four-second interval and four-stack cap remain the same.
Limits to keep in mind
The maximum bonus takes time to build: four stacks require four four-second intervals after entering combat. Falling or leaving combat ends the stored stacks. The effect description does not specify how the bonus behaves while the wielder is off-field.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The full elemental bonus takes time to build.
- The stacks end when the character falls or leaves combat.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the maximum Elemental DMG Bonus immediately after entering combat.
- Assuming stacks persist after the wielder falls or leaves combat.
