Understand Luxurious Sea-Lord
Useful when…
- Use on a claymore user who regularly lands Elemental Burst hits.
- Consider it when area damage from the periodic passive hit is useful.
How the weapon works
At refinement 1, Elemental Burst DMG increases by 12%. When an Elemental Burst hits an opponent, it has a 100% chance to summon a tuna that deals area damage equal to 100% of the wielder's ATK; this can happen once every 15 seconds. At refinement 5, the Burst bonus is 24% and the tuna hit is 200% of ATK. The tuna is therefore tied to a successful Burst hit, not simply using the Burst.
When it fits and alternatives
The ATK secondary stat and Burst bonus point toward a damage build that uses both ATK and Burst damage. Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword also gives ATK and Energy Recharge, with an additional ATK bonus based on how many Merusea Village Melusines the player has helped; consider that distinct progression-dependent bonus when comparing. A Teaspoon of Transcendence is built around Charged Attack hits and named Stellar reactions, while A Thousand Blazing Suns triggers on Skill or Burst use and has additional Nightsoul's Blessing conditions. Those effects do not replicate Sea-Lord's Burst-hit tuna trigger.
Investment
Ascension proceeds through six stages; selected examples list Mora and ascension materials. Refinement uses Emperor's Balsam and Mora rather than a duplicate weapon copy, increasing both the Burst bonus and tuna's ATK multiplier. If those effects are central to the wielder's damage, refinement improves them directly; ascension is the separate level progression.
Limitations and mistakes
The tuna effect has a 15-second trigger interval, so consecutive Burst hits do not summon it each time. A Burst that does not hit an opponent does not meet the trigger condition. Do not confuse the listed tuna percentage of ATK with a flat damage value; it is an ATK multiplier before other damage factors.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The distinctive extra hit requires a Burst to hit an opponent and is limited by a 15-second interval.
- It offers no stated Energy Recharge secondary stat.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the tuna triggers on Burst activation without a hit.
- Counting on the tuna effect more often than once every 15 seconds.
