Understand Peak Patrol Song
Useful when…
- Support nearby party members with an All Elemental DMG Bonus after building two stacks.
- Use on a sword wielder whose DEF can scale the shared bonus and who can land Normal or Plunging Attacks.
How the effect works
At Rank 1, a Normal or Plunging Attack hit grants one Ode to Flowers stack for 6 seconds: each stack gives 8% DEF and 10% All Elemental DMG Bonus to the wielder, up to two stacks. Hits can trigger the effect once every 0.1 seconds. When the effect reaches two stacks, or the second stack is refreshed, nearby party members gain an All Elemental DMG Bonus for 15 seconds. That bonus is 8% for every 1,000 DEF the wielder has, capped at 25.6% at Rank 1. The weapon’s listed base ATK is 44.3358 and its secondary stat is DEF.
Practical use and conditions
The wielder must hit with Normal or Plunging Attacks to build and maintain the personal stacks; Skill or Burst hits alone are not listed as triggers. The party bonus depends on the wielder’s DEF and is applied only when the second stack is reached or refreshed. This makes attack access and DEF investment central to using the weapon as team support. Its personal elemental bonus and the shared party bonus are separate effects.
Investment priorities
Ascension is the direct weapon-level progression, from stage 0 through 6; the supplied examples show material costs at stages 0→1, 3→4, and 5→6. Refinement raises the personal DEF and elemental bonus per stack, the party bonus per 1,000 DEF, and the party-bonus cap. At Rank 1, the cap is 25.6%; at Rank 5 it is 51.2%, while the per-1,000-DEF rate rises from 8% to 16%. Refinement consumes a duplicate copy at each step, so weigh that copy cost against the larger support ceiling.
Limitations and alternatives
Without Normal or Plunging Attack hits, the weapon cannot build its stacks or trigger the party bonus. The shared bonus is capped, so additional DEF beyond the cap threshold does not raise that effect. Absolution instead has CRIT DMG and gains personal DMG when Bond of Life increases; it is not the same DEF-based party-support effect. Amenoma Kageuchi offers ATK and Burst-linked Energy restoration from Skill-generated seeds, while Aquila Favonia offers ATK and a periodic heal and area hit after the wielder takes damage. These are distinct conditions and effects, not direct equivalents.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The party bonus requires attack hits to reach or refresh two stacks.
- Its support ceiling depends on wielder DEF and is capped at each refinement rank.
- Refinement requires sacrificing duplicate copies.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting Skill or Burst hits alone to build Ode to Flowers stacks.
- Counting the party bonus before the second stack is reached or refreshed.
- Ignoring the DEF-based cap when evaluating further DEF investment.
