Understand Prototype Amber
Useful when…
- Restore HP to all party members over the six seconds after the wielder uses a Burst.
- Restore Energy to the wielder during the same Burst-triggered period.
Burst effect
At Rank 1, using an Elemental Burst starts a six-second effect. Every two seconds during that duration, the wielder regenerates 4 Energy and all party members regenerate HP equal to 4% of their respective Max HP. At Rank 5, the corresponding amounts are 6 Energy and 6% HP every two seconds. The weapon has 42.401 base ATK and an HP secondary stat. The periodic recovery requires a Burst to start the effect.
Practical support
This is a Catalyst option for adding party-wide healing and personal Energy recovery to a Burst use. The listed healing is expressed as a percentage of Max HP, while the Energy amount is a flat number for the wielder at each two-second interval. It does not state an attack-hit trigger, shield condition, or damage bonus. Consider its support value alongside the wielder’s ability to use the Burst that activates it.
Ascension and refinement
Ascension progresses from stage 0 through 6; the supplied cost examples cover stages 0→1, 3→4, and 5→6. Refinement increases the Energy and HP restored at each two-second interval, from 4 and 4% at Rank 1 to 6 and 6% at Rank 5. Refinement consumes a duplicate copy per step. Ascension is the basic weapon progression; refinement is useful if stronger Burst-triggered recovery justifies those copies.
Alternatives and limits
A Thousand Floating Dreams focuses on Elemental Mastery and elemental-type-based party effects. Angelos’ Heptades grants ATK and timed damage support and Energy restoration when its wielder creates a shield, with its own shield condition. Apprentice’s Notes is a basic one-star Catalyst with no listed secondary stat. These comparisons do not provide Prototype Amber’s listed Burst-triggered party healing, and each has a different stat or trigger.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The recovery effect starts only when the wielder uses an Elemental Burst.
- Energy restoration is for the wielder; HP recovery applies to all party members.
- Refinement consumes duplicate copies.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the periodic recovery without first using an Elemental Burst.
- Treating the Energy amount as party-wide; the described Energy restoration is for the wielder.
- Confusing each two-second recovery interval with the entire six-second effect.
