Understand Reliquary of Truth
Useful when…
- Building a damage focused Catalyst user who can trigger Lunar-Bloom and use an Elemental Skill.
- Considering a weapon whose passive value depends on maintaining two different combat conditions.
What triggers its bonuses?
At refinement 1, the weapon grants 8% CRIT Rate. Using the equipping character's Elemental Skill grants 80 Elemental Mastery for 12 seconds; dealing Lunar-Bloom damage grants 24% CRIT DMG for 4 seconds. While both effects are active, the results of both effects increase by 50%: the listed Elemental Mastery bonus becomes 120 and the listed CRIT DMG bonus becomes 36%. That overlap requires both triggers, and the Lunar-Bloom bonus has the shorter duration. The weapon also has a CRIT DMG secondary stat, but its value is not specified here.
Who should consider it?
It is most relevant when the equipping character can personally deal Lunar-Bloom damage and use their Skill often enough for the 12-second effect to matter. The Skill alone does not activate the CRIT DMG effect, and Lunar-Bloom damage alone does not grant the Skill's Elemental Mastery effect. If either condition is missing from the character's combat pattern, part of the passive is unavailable.
How much should you invest?
Weapon ascension is the direct improvement track for the weapon itself. Refinement consumes another copy and raises the listed bonuses: at refinement 5, CRIT Rate is 16%, the Skill-triggered Elemental Mastery is 160, and the Lunar-Bloom CRIT DMG bonus is 48% before the simultaneous-effects increase. Refinement improves the effect, but the duplicate-copy cost makes it a deliberate investment; prioritize it only if the weapon's two triggers fit the intended user.
Tradeoffs and alternatives
A Thousand Floating Dreams offers a different Catalyst profile: it grants the wielder party-composition-dependent Elemental Mastery or elemental DMG bonuses and gives nearby party members Elemental Mastery. That can suit a support-oriented or reaction-focused use case, but it does not share Reliquary's Lunar-Bloom trigger. Angelos' Heptades instead requires the wielder to create a Shield for its active-party damage increase and Energy restoration. Neither is a direct substitute unless its own conditions and stats suit the character.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The Lunar-Bloom CRIT DMG effect lasts 4 seconds, so its contribution depends on triggering that damage during the desired window.
- The amplified bonuses require the Skill and Lunar-Bloom effects to overlap.
- Refinement consumes a copy of the weapon.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting the amplified bonuses without activating both effects at once.
- Assuming an Elemental Skill alone grants the Lunar-Bloom CRIT DMG bonus.
- Refining with a duplicate before deciding whether the increased passive values justify using another copy.
