Understand Sacrificial Jade
Useful when…
- Consider it for an off-field catalyst user who benefits from Max HP and Elemental Mastery.
- Track time on-field, since the passive ends after ten seconds there.
Off-field condition and duration
After the wielder has been off-field for more than five seconds, Sacrificial Jade increases Max HP and Elemental Mastery. At R1, the increases are 32% Max HP and 40 Elemental Mastery; at R5, they are 64% and 80. The effects are canceled after the wielder has been on-field for ten seconds. The bonus therefore favors a character who can return off-field before that limit.
Who benefits
The weapon has 41.0671 base ATK and CRIT Rate as its secondary stat. Its passive specifically offers HP and Elemental Mastery, so consider whether those stats matter to the wielder and whether their time on-field fits the condition. It is less suitable for a plan that keeps the wielder active beyond ten seconds, because the stated bonuses are then canceled.
Refinement and alternatives
Ascension spans six stages. Refinement consumes another Sacrificial Jade and Mora; the examples list 1,000 Mora from R1 to R2 and 8,000 from R4 to R5. Refinement raises both conditional stat bonuses but leaves the five-second off-field requirement and ten-second on-field cancellation in place. A Thousand Floating Dreams grants Elemental Mastery and elemental-type-based benefits tied to other party members. Angelos’ Heptades requires the wielder to create a shield for its party damage and Energy effects. Apprentice’s Notes is a 1-star catalyst without a secondary stat. These options have different roles and do not share Sacrificial Jade’s off-field timing condition.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The HP and Elemental Mastery effects require more than five seconds off-field.
- Both bonuses are canceled after ten seconds on-field.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the passive is active immediately after switching off-field; it requires more than five seconds.
- Keeping the wielder on-field for ten seconds or more while expecting the HP and Elemental Mastery bonuses to remain.
