Understand Serenity's Call
Useful when…
- Supporting a sword wielder whose abilities benefit from Max HP
- A character who can trigger Elemental Reactions, including while off-field
What does it do?
Causing an Elemental Reaction increases the wielder's Max HP by 16% for 12 seconds at R1. The effect can trigger while the wielder is off-field. While the party has Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam, the Max HP increase from this effect is further increased by 16% at R1. Energy Recharge is its secondary stat.
Who benefits from the condition?
The trigger requires the wielder to cause an Elemental Reaction, but does not require them to be on-field. This makes the passive relevant to reaction-capable sword users whose abilities value HP; Energy Recharge is a separate weapon stat and does not itself activate the HP effect.
What is worth improving?
Ascension advances the weapon through six stages. Refinement raises the reaction-triggered HP increase from 16% to 32%, and the additional Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam amount from 16% to 32%. Refinement consumes another copy; prioritize it when the wielder makes meaningful use of the HP increase rather than treating refinement as a general damage upgrade.
How do the sword comparisons differ?
Amenoma Kageuchi gives Energy after its wielder uses an Elemental Burst, based on stored Skill-generated seeds. Aquila Favonia has an ATK increase and a hit-taking trigger that heals and damages nearby opponents. Absolution instead emphasizes CRIT DMG and gains damage when Bond of Life value increases. Their triggers and benefits differ from Serenity's reaction-based HP increase.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The HP increase requires the wielder to cause an Elemental Reaction.
- The effect lasts 12 seconds, so its uptime depends on triggering it again.
- Refinement requires another copy.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming any party member's reaction triggers the weapon; the equipped character must cause one.
- Forgetting that Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam changes the effect's HP increase.
