Understand Silver Light
Useful when…
- A sword wielder who benefits from Elemental Mastery
- Repeated Elemental Skill use to gain and refresh the buff
How does the buff work?
Using an Elemental Skill grants 52 Elemental Mastery for 12 seconds at R1. It can stack twice, and each stack has an independent duration. Reusing a Skill can therefore add a second stack while the first remains active, subject to the two-stack limit.
Who should consider it?
The effect suits a character who both uses Elemental Skills and benefits from Elemental Mastery. A character whose damage or utility does not benefit from that stat gains less from the passive, even if Skill use can trigger it.
Refinement and ascension
Refinement increases the buff from 52 to 104 Elemental Mastery per stack across R1–R5. Ascension advances through six stages; the listed refinement examples use Tea-Scented Tassels and Mora. Consider refinement when the wielder can make use of the additional Elemental Mastery and the material cost is justified.
How do the sword comparisons differ?
Amenoma Kageuchi turns Skill use into seeds that restore Energy after a Burst; it does not provide this weapon's Elemental Mastery buff. Absolution grants CRIT DMG and damage when Bond of Life value increases. Aquila Favonia increases ATK and can heal and deal damage when its wielder takes damage. Their utility depends on different stats and triggers.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The buff requires Elemental Skill use.
- The Elemental Mastery benefit depends on the wielder's kit making use of that stat.
- Each of the two stacks has its own duration.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the buff stacks beyond two.
- Treating the two stack timers as one shared duration.
