Understand Sunny Morning Sleep-In
Useful when…
- Use on an EM-focused catalyst wielder who can trigger Swirl and land Skill and Burst hits.
- Consider it when the wielder can maintain the shorter timed EM bonuses through its listed triggers.
Three separate triggers
At R1, triggering Swirl or Stellar Swirl grants 120 Elemental Mastery for six seconds. An Elemental Skill hit grants 96 EM for nine seconds, and an Elemental Burst hit grants 32 EM for 30 seconds. These are three distinct triggers and durations; the description does not state that one can substitute for another. Refinement raises each amount.
Who benefits
The EM secondary stat and conditional bonuses suit a wielder whose damage or role benefits from Elemental Mastery. The six-second Swirl bonus is particularly brief, while the Burst-hit bonus lasts longer but is smaller at R1. A Thousand Floating Dreams also supplies EM, but its added effects depend on the elemental types of other party members and include EM for nearby allies; it has no listed Skill-hit or Burst-hit trigger.
Investment and tradeoffs
Ascension raises weapon level using materials and Mora. Refinement consumes another copy and Mora to improve all three EM increases. Because the bonuses depend on successful events and have different durations, refinement is most relevant when the wielder regularly triggers them. Angelos’ Heptades is a different catalyst with ATK and a shield-triggered active-party damage buff, rather than this weapon’s EM-focused trigger pattern.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The larger, shorter EM bonuses depend on Swirl or Skill-hit triggers.
- The Burst-hit bonus is smaller than the other R1 increases.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the three EM amounts as unconditional permanent bonuses.
- Assuming a Skill or Burst cast grants its bonus without hitting an opponent.
