Wandering Evenstar

Elemental Mastery catalyst with party ATK support

Released Oct 14, 2022

Wandering Evenstar converts the wielder's Elemental Mastery into an ATK buff for them and nearby party members. Consider it when the wielder can build Elemental Mastery and the party benefits from ATK; the effect can trigger off-field.

Understand Wandering Evenstar

Useful when…

  • An Elemental Mastery catalyst user who can share ATK with nearby allies
  • Off-field use where the wielder's effect should still trigger

Effect and timing

Every 10 seconds, the weapon grants the wielder bonus ATK equal to a percentage of their Elemental Mastery for 12 seconds. At refinement 1, that is 24% of the wielder's Elemental Mastery; nearby party members gain 30% of this buff for the same duration. The weapon's wording allows the effect to trigger while its wielder is off-field. Refinement raises the wielder's conversion percentage, while the stated ally share remains 30% of that buff.

Build considerations

Its Elemental Mastery secondary stat supports the stat used in the conversion, so increasing the wielder's Elemental Mastery also raises the buff's basis. A Thousand Floating Dreams also centers on Elemental Mastery and gives nearby party members Elemental Mastery, rather than converting the wielder's mastery into this weapon's ATK-sharing effect. Angelos' Heptades is conditional on the wielder creating a shield. These are different support conditions, not automatic substitutes.

Upgrading and limits

Ascension progresses through six stages. Refinement requires a duplicate and Mora, and raises the wielder's conversion rate from 24% at R1 to 48% at R5. The party share is described relative to the wielder's buff; do not mistake it for a separate flat ATK amount or assume the weapon directly grants allies Elemental Mastery.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The shared ATK depends on the wielder's Elemental Mastery.
  • The buff has a 10-second trigger interval and lasts 12 seconds.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Reading the party bonus as 30% of Elemental Mastery rather than 30% of the wielder's granted ATK buff.
  • Assuming the effect requires the wielder to remain on-field.
