Understand Whiteblind
Useful when…
- A DEF-valuing claymore wielder who uses Normal or Charged Attacks
- Repeated on-field hits that can build and maintain the passive
Effect and stacking
At R1, each qualifying hit adds 6% ATK and 6% DEF for 6 seconds, up to four stacks, with a 0.5-second trigger limit. Four stacks therefore correspond to 24% ATK and 24% DEF at R1. Refinement raises each stack's values to 12% at R5, for a potential 48% of each stat at four stacks. The effect requires hits from Normal or Charged Attacks.
Who benefits
Its DEF secondary stat and paired ATK/DEF stacks make the weapon most relevant when the wielder can use both stats and attack repeatedly. Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword instead supplies Energy Recharge and ATK bonuses tied partly to Merusea Village help. The supplied five-star alternatives have distinct attack conditions and CRIT stats, so they are not direct equivalents to Whiteblind's DEF and hit-stack design.
Investment and limitations
Ascension proceeds through six stages. Refinement consumes a duplicate and Mora, raising both per-stack bonuses. A hit does not instantly grant all four stacks, and attacks outside the Normal or Charged categories are not named as triggers.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The passive requires Normal or Charged Attack hits to build.
- Its DEF secondary stat is less relevant when a build does not use DEF.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting four stacks before landing enough qualifying hits.
- Assuming Skill or Burst hits trigger the effect when only Normal and Charged Attacks are specified.
