Understand A Thankless Coronation
Useful when…
- A Destruction wearer who deals damage with Ultimate and benefits from CRIT DMG and ATK.
- A wearer with Max Energy of at least 300 who can activate the additional Energy restoration and ATK bonus.
What does the Ultimate trigger?
The wearer gains 36% CRIT DMG at S1. Using Ultimate increases ATK by 40%. If the wearer's Max Energy is at least 300, the effect also restores Energy equal to 10% of Max Energy and increases ATK by a further 40%; the ATK increases last two turns. At S5, CRIT DMG is 72%, and the ATK increases are 80% each. The 300 Max Energy condition and two-turn duration remain unchanged.
Who benefits most?
An Ultimate-focused wearer benefits from the unconditional CRIT DMG and first ATK increase. The additional Energy restoration and second ATK increase require Max Energy of at least 300; that condition refers to maximum capacity, not current Energy. The restored amount is a fixed 10% of Max Energy, not a flat 10 Energy.
Investment choices
Promotion raises the Light Cone's level. Superimposition increases CRIT DMG and both ATK bonuses; the Max Energy threshold, Energy restoration percentage, and two-turn duration do not change. Each listed step requires another copy, so weigh the improved bonuses against the duplicate cost.
Compare trigger and stat needs
A Secret Vow provides general damage and an added conditional bonus against enemies at or above the wearer's HP percentage. A Trail of Bygone Blood grants CRIT Rate and Skill/Ultimate DMG. Brighter Than the Sun grants CRIT Rate and builds ATK and Energy Regeneration Rate through Basic ATK use. These alternatives have different stat profiles and triggers; consider them when those fit the wearer better.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The second ATK increase and Energy restoration require at least 300 Max Energy.
- The ATK bonuses are triggered by Ultimate and last two turns.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Checking current Energy instead of Max Energy for the 300 threshold.
- Reading the Energy restoration as a flat amount rather than 10% of Max Energy.
