Understand Concert for Two
Useful when…
- A DEF-oriented Preservation wearer who also deals damage.
- A battle setup with several on-field characters that have Shields.
How does the damage bonus count?
The wearer gains 16% DEF at S1, rising to 32% at S5. For every on-field character that has a Shield, the wearer gains 4% damage at S1 or 8% at S5. The effect counts qualifying on-field characters; its value therefore changes with how many have a Shield.
When does it fit?
It fits a wearer whose DEF is useful and who can benefit from the personal damage increase while Shields are present on multiple on-field characters. If only the wearer has a Shield, the damage bonus counts that character; other characters without Shields do not contribute. Amber increases DEF and adds more when the wearer is below 50% HP. Day One of My New Life grants DEF and team All-Type RES after battle begins. Defense restores wearer HP when they use their Ultimate, a separate sustain effect.
How should I invest?
Promotion improves the Light Cone’s level. Superimposition increases its DEF and per-character damage values; each step consumes a duplicate copy. The shield condition and character count do not change, so prioritize copies when the team can consistently make use of the damage effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The damage effect depends on on-field characters having Shields.
- The damage increase benefits the wearer, not all shielded allies.
- The Light Cone grants DEF but does not itself state that it creates a Shield.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the Light Cone itself provides Shields.
- Counting off-field or unshielded characters toward the damage bonus.
- Mistaking its personal damage increase for a team-wide buff.
