Understand Mutual Demise
Useful when…
- A Destruction wearer who spends time below 80% current HP.
- A build that benefits from CRIT Rate and can tolerate the conditional uptime.
What is the HP condition?
If the wearer's current HP percentage is lower than 80%, CRIT Rate rises by 12% at S1 or 24% at S5. The threshold is strictly below 80%; being at exactly 80% does not satisfy it. The effect checks current HP, so its availability can change as HP rises or falls.
When is the condition practical?
This is a fit for builds that can benefit from CRIT Rate while the wearer remains under the threshold. If the wearer is commonly healed above 80%, expect the bonus to be absent during those periods. A Secret Vow gives a general damage increase and adds damage against enemies whose HP percentage is at least the wearer's; A Trail of Bygone Blood gives CRIT Rate and boosts Skill and Ultimate damage. Those effects have different conditions and damage coverage.
Investing in the Light Cone
Promotion advances the Light Cone through six stages; the supplied examples list Credit and Destruction or Silvermane materials at selected stages. Superimposition raises the conditional CRIT Rate from 12% to 24%, without changing the 80% HP threshold. Extra copies matter most when the wearer can keep the condition active and use the added CRIT Rate.
A different Ultimate-focused option
A Thankless Coronation grants CRIT DMG and increases ATK when using Ultimate. Its additional Energy regeneration and further ATK increase apply only if the wearer's Max Energy is at least 300. It is a specialized comparison with an explicit Max Energy requirement, not a direct substitute for Mutual Demise's HP-based CRIT Rate.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- CRIT Rate depends on current HP staying below 80%.
- Healing can take the wearer out of the condition.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting the bonus at exactly 80% HP.
- Assuming the CRIT Rate remains active after healing above the threshold.
