Understand She Already Shut Her Eyes
Useful when…
- Supporting a team with a Preservation wearer whose HP can be reduced during combat.
- Adding healing at the start of each wave in multi-wave battles.
What it does
At S1, it raises the wearer's Max HP by 24% and Energy Regeneration Rate by 12%. When the wearer's HP is reduced, all allies gain 9% increased DMG dealt for 2 turns. At each wave's start, it restores each ally's HP by 80% of that ally's own missing HP. These effects scale with superimposition; at S5 the listed values are 40%, 20%, 20%, and 100%, respectively.
When to consider it
Its team buff requires the wearer to have HP reduced, so it is most useful when that condition happens during the fight. The wave-start heal is a separate effect and depends on allies having missing HP at that moment. The HP and Energy Regeneration bonuses are always relevant to the wearer, while the team effects add support value.
Alternatives and investment
Amber gives the wearer DEF, with extra DEF only while their current HP is below 50%. Concert for Two gives DEF and increases the wearer's damage for each on-field character who has a Shield. Day One of My New Life gives DEF and team All-Type RES after entering battle, but effects of the same type cannot stack. These have different triggers and benefits, so they are situational comparisons rather than direct replacements. Promotion raises the Light Cone's level; superimposition consumes another copy and improves its listed effect. Prioritize promotion for general progression, and weigh duplicate copies against keeping them available for another wearer.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The team damage buff depends on the wearer losing HP.
- The wave-start healing does not describe continuous or on-demand healing during a wave.
- Superimposition requires sacrificing another copy.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the damage buff activates simply because the wearer takes a turn; it requires their HP to be reduced.
- Treating the wave-start heal as an in-wave emergency heal.
- Ignoring that Day One of My New Life's same-type effect cannot stack.
