Understand The Unreachable Side
Useful when…
- A Destruction wearer who is attacked or consumes their own HP during combat.
- A build that can use both the unconditional CRIT Rate and conditional damage increase.
What triggers its damage increase?
At S1, the wearer gains 18% CRIT Rate and 18% Max HP. When they are attacked or consume their own HP, their damage increases by 24%. The bonus is removed after the wearer uses an attack, so it rewards timing an attack after the trigger rather than providing an ongoing increase through subsequent attacks. S5 raises the CRIT Rate, Max HP, and conditional damage bonus to 30%, 30%, and 40%.
Which wearer can use it?
The Max HP increase is unconditional, but the damage effect requires being attacked or consuming HP and ends after an attack. A wearer whose kit naturally meets that trigger can make more use of the short window. A Secret Vow offers damage with an additional condition based on the wearer's and enemy's HP percentages. A Trail of Bygone Blood boosts CRIT Rate and Skill and Ultimate damage. A Thankless Coronation supplies CRIT DMG and Ultimate-linked ATK, with a further condition at 300 Max Energy. These comparison effects have different triggers and attack coverage.
What should be upgraded?
Promotion develops the Light Cone through six stages. Superimposition improves CRIT Rate, Max HP, and the conditional damage bonus; the shown steps use duplicate copies. Promotion raises base stats, while refinement is a more specialized investment for a wearer who can trigger the bonus reliably and use it before attacking.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The damage increase requires being attacked or consuming the wearer's HP.
- The bonus is removed after the wearer uses an attack.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not assume the conditional damage increase persists after the wearer attacks.
- Do not confuse increased Max HP with a healing effect; the Light Cone does not state that it restores HP.
