Time Waits for No One

Abundance healing and follow-up damage Light Cone

Introduced in v1.0

Time Waits for No One boosts the wearer's Max HP and Outgoing Healing, then converts recorded healing into a once-per-turn hit on a random enemy when an ally attacks. Consider it when the wearer heals regularly and you value extra healing alongside incidental damage.

Time Waits for No One GUIDE

Understand Time Waits for No One

Useful when…

  • Strengthening the wearer's Max HP and Outgoing Healing.
  • Adding a periodic damage hit based on healing the wearer has provided.

How its damage effect works

At S1, the wearer gains 18% Max HP and 12% Outgoing Healing. Healing allies records the Outgoing Healing amount. When any ally launches an attack, a random attacked enemy takes Additional DMG equal to 36% of that recorded value. It uses the wearer's damage Type, is not affected by other buffs, and can occur only once per turn. At S5, the bonuses are 30% Max HP, 20% Outgoing Healing, and 60% of the recorded healing value. The effect's stated cap is once per turn, not once per attack.

Use and comparisons

The effect has two distinct requirements: the wearer must heal to record Outgoing Healing, and an ally must later launch an attack to trigger the hit. It is not an immediate damage bonus for every attack. Cornucopia raises Outgoing Healing when the wearer uses Skill or Ultimate. Dream's Montage instead grants SPD and can regenerate Energy after attacking Weakness Broken targets, up to twice per turn. Echoes of the Coffin raises ATK, can regenerate Energy from attacks against different enemies, and grants team SPD after the wearer's Ultimate. Each comparison favors different actions and should be judged by the wearer's role.

Investment

Promotion raises the Light Cone's level. Superimposition raises its Max HP, Outgoing Healing, and the fraction of recorded healing used for Additional DMG; it does not change the once-per-turn limit. Promotion is the general progression path. Consider spending additional copies only if the increased values matter more than preserving another copy.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Its Additional DMG depends on healing having been recorded and an ally subsequently attacking.
  • The Additional DMG is unaffected by other buffs and is limited to once per turn.
  • The hit targets a random enemy among those attacked.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Counting the Additional DMG as a hit on every ally attack.
  • Assuming its Additional DMG receives other buffs; the effect explicitly says it does not.
  • Expecting the damage effect to activate before the wearer has healed allies.
