Understand Luocha
Useful when…
- Sustaining a party through repeated enemy turns and ally attacks.
- Providing an emergency heal when an ally falls to half HP or lower.
- Removing one buff from all enemies with his Ultimate.
How do his heals and Zone work?
His Skill restores one ally by an amount based on Luocha’s ATK plus a flat amount, then grants one Abyss Flower stack. Once every two turns, if any ally’s HP falls to 50% or lower, the Skill’s healing effect triggers on that ally without consuming Skill Points. At two Abyss Flower stacks, he consumes them to create a two-turn Zone. Whenever an ally attacks an enemy while the Zone is active, that ally is healed based on Luocha’s ATK plus a flat amount. His Technique triggers the Talent’s Zone effect at the start of the next battle. The Ultimate deals Imaginary damage to all enemies, removes one buff from each, and grants one Abyss Flower stack.
When is he useful, and what supports his kit?
Luocha is useful when the party needs frequent recovery but can keep attacking: each ally attack during the Zone can trigger healing, so multi-hit or follow-up attacks can create more opportunities for that effect. His targeted Skill and emergency trigger cover a single ally who needs help immediately. ATK contributes to both his Skill and Zone healing, while the listed HP and DEF bonus traces can support his durability. His Basic ATK is a single-target Imaginary attack; it is not the main reason to use him.
Which upgrades merit investment?
For a healing-focused build, prioritize the Skill and Talent because they govern the direct heal and attack-triggered Zone recovery. The Ultimate is a more conditional priority if removing enemy buffs is valuable in the encounters you face. Promotion and the ATK bonus traces support the ATK-based healing formula; HP and DEF traces can help him survive. Basic ATK investment has lower relevance when he is serving primarily as a healer. These are conditional priorities, not a requirement to finish every trace.
What can interrupt or limit the healing?
The emergency heal has a two-turn trigger interval and cannot be relied on to fire repeatedly without a gap. The Zone lasts two turns, consumes all current Abyss Flower stacks when deployed, and disappears if Luocha is knocked down. The party only receives the Zone’s attack-triggered recovery while it is active and allies attack enemies, so it does not replace the targeted Skill when an ally needs an immediate heal outside that condition.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- His Zone healing depends on allies attacking during its limited duration.
- The automatic heal is gated by both a 50% HP threshold and a two-turn interval.
- His ATK-based healing makes ATK traces relevant, but defensive bonus traces may matter for keeping the healer standing.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the emergency heal to trigger on every low-HP event; it has a two-turn interval.
- Assuming the Zone heals allies without an attack trigger or after Luocha is knocked down.
- Spending Abyss Flower stacks without accounting for the Zone consuming all current stacks.
