Understand Messenger Traversing Hackerspace
Useful when…
- Supporting allies with a qualifying ally-targeted Ultimate.
- Adding wearer SPD with two pieces when the four-piece trigger is unavailable or not desired.
What activates the four-piece bonus?
The wearer must use their Ultimate on an ally. The bonus then increases all allies' SPD by 12% for 1 turn. It cannot stack, so another activation does not add a second copy of the effect.
When should I consider it?
The two-piece bonus is a direct 6% SPD increase for the wearer. The full set adds temporary team SPD, so it suits a support whose Ultimate targets an ally and whose party can make use of that timing. Watchmaker offers a different ally-Ultimate trigger: it grants 30% Break Effect for 2 turns instead. That comparison is useful when the relevant team benefit is Break Effect rather than SPD.
What should I avoid assuming?
The four-piece effect is not triggered by every Ultimate; it specifically requires using the Ultimate on an ally. It lasts 1 turn and cannot stack. The available effects do not establish any additional trigger or extension mechanic.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The team bonus is brief and conditional on an ally-targeted Ultimate.
- The four-piece team SPD bonus cannot stack.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Equipping four pieces on a wearer whose Ultimate does not target an ally and expecting the team SPD bonus.
- Expecting multiple activations to stack the four-piece bonus.
