Understand Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations
Useful when…
- Supporting allies who benefit from Break Effect.
- Using the two-piece Break Effect bonus on a wearer even when the four-piece trigger is unsuitable.
What activates the team bonus?
The wearer must use their Ultimate on an ally. All allies then gain 30% Break Effect for 2 turns. This effect cannot be stacked, so multiple qualifying activations do not build additional copies of the bonus.
When should I consider it?
Two pieces increase the wearer's Break Effect by 16%. The four-piece bonus shares Break Effect with all allies, making the wearer and the Ultimate's ally target condition central to choosing it. Messenger Traversing Hackerspace uses the same ally-targeted Ultimate condition but gives 12% SPD for 1 turn instead; consider the distinction based on which team stat is relevant to the build.
What limits the full set?
A self-targeted or enemy-targeted Ultimate does not meet the stated condition of using the Ultimate on an ally. The party Break Effect bonus lasts 2 turns and cannot stack. The set's effects do not specify any additional activation method or extension.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The team bonus requires an Ultimate used on an ally.
- The four-piece effect cannot stack.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the four-piece bonus from an Ultimate that is not used on an ally.
- Expecting repeated activations to stack the team Break Effect increase.
