Poet of Mourning Collapse

Four-piece Quantum damage relic set

Introduced in v3.0

Poet of Mourning Collapse grants Quantum DMG with two pieces. Its four-piece bonus lowers the wearer’s SPD by 8% and, based on SPD before battle, grants one of two CRIT Rate bonuses. Consider four pieces when the wearer benefits from that CRIT Rate and can accept the SPD decrease; the CRIT Rate effect also applies to their memosprite.

Poet of Mourning Collapse GUIDE

Understand Poet of Mourning Collapse

Useful when…

  • Using two pieces for the 10% Quantum DMG bonus.
  • Considering four pieces when the wearer can meet a CRIT Rate SPD threshold and the SPD reduction suits the build.
  • Applying the four-piece CRIT Rate effect to a wearer’s memosprite.

What do the piece bonuses do?

Two pieces increase Quantum DMG by 10%. Four pieces decrease the wearer’s SPD by 8%. Before entering battle, SPD below 95 grants 32% CRIT Rate; SPD from 95 up to but not including 110 grants 20%; SPD of 110 or higher grants neither tier. These tiers are mutually exclusive, and the four-piece CRIT Rate effect applies to the wearer’s memosprite as well.

When should you consider it?

Consider two pieces when the Quantum DMG bonus benefits the wearer. Four pieces are conditional on the wearer benefiting from CRIT Rate at their pre-battle SPD and being able to accept the 8% SPD decrease. The set’s CRIT Rate effect also applies to the wearer’s memosprite.

How do the alternatives differ?

Diviner of Distant Reach grants CRIT Rate when the wearer meets its SPD thresholds and gives all allies Elation when the wearer first uses an Elation Skill in battle. Warrior Goddess of Sun and Thunder requires the wearer or memosprite to heal another ally, then raises wearer SPD and all allies’ CRIT DMG for two turns. Champion of Streetwise Boxing instead grants Physical DMG and stacks ATK after the wearer attacks or is hit. Consider each only when its stated trigger and benefit suit the build; these bonuses differ from Poet’s Quantum DMG and pre-battle SPD-based CRIT Rate conditions.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The four-piece bonus decreases the wearer’s SPD by 8%.
  • The 32% CRIT Rate tier requires SPD below 95 before battle; SPD from 95 to below 110 grants 20%, and SPD of 110 or higher grants no tier.
  • Two pieces provide Quantum DMG but do not activate the four-piece effects.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Treating either SPD threshold as inclusive: the CRIT Rate tiers require SPD strictly below 110 or 95.
  • Applying the 20% tier below 95; that range receives the separate 32% tier.
  • Assuming two pieces activate the four-piece SPD decrease or CRIT Rate effect.

Effects and reference details

2-piece bonus

Increases Quantum DMG by 10%.

4-piece bonus

Decreases the wearer's SPD by 8%. Before entering battle, if the wearer's SPD is lower than 110/95, increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 20%/32%. This effect applies to the wearer's memosprite at the same time.
