Understand Punklorde Stage Zero
Useful when…
- Use it when the wearer benefits from Elation and can reach at least one of the listed in-combat thresholds.
- Consider whether the 40% and 80% thresholds are attainable before counting the corresponding CRIT DMG increases.
What are the Elation thresholds?
The two-piece effect increases the wearer's Elation by 8%. When the wearer reaches 40% Elation for the first time in combat, CRIT DMG increases by 20%; reaching 80% for the first time increases CRIT DMG by 32%. The threshold increases are tied to reaching those values for the first time in combat.
How should you plan around it?
Check whether the wearer can reach 40% or 80% Elation during combat. The lower threshold offers a 20% CRIT DMG increase, while the higher one offers 32%; do not count a threshold bonus before the wearer reaches it. The set's 8% Elation increase contributes toward the required stat.
How do comparison options differ?
Celestial Differentiator grants CRIT DMG and conditionally grants CRIT Rate for the wearer's first attack at 120% current CRIT DMG. Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves builds its Follow-Up ATK damage and CRIT DMG through Merit stacks. Fallen Star Anchorage requires the wearer and another teammate to be Trailblaze Companions for its CRIT DMG bonus. Those conditions differ from Punklorde's Elation thresholds.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The CRIT DMG increases depend on reaching Elation thresholds in combat.
- The threshold bonuses are described as activating the first time each value is reached in combat.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the CRIT DMG bonuses apply before the wearer reaches their corresponding Elation thresholds.
- Confusing the 40% and 80% Elation thresholds with the size of the CRIT DMG bonuses; they grant 20% and 32%, respectively.
