Understand Fallen Star Anchorage
Useful when…
- Use it when the wearer and at least one teammate meet the Trailblaze Companions condition at combat entry.
- Consider its unconditional CRIT Rate when the conditional CRIT DMG bonus is not available.
What does the set grant?
The two-piece effect increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 8%. At combat entry, if the wearer and another teammate are both Trailblaze Companions characters, the wearer's CRIT DMG increases by 32%. The CRIT DMG check is made when entering combat.
When should you consider it?
Check the wearer and teammate character condition before relying on the 32% CRIT DMG increase. If the condition is met at combat entry, the wearer also has the set's 8% CRIT Rate; if not, only that CRIT Rate effect is stated to apply. The character condition is specific and should not be replaced with a general assumption about team composition.
How do other CRIT options differ?
Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm grants ATK and conditionally CRIT Rate when a teammate follows the wearer's Path. Celestial Differentiator grants CRIT DMG and a CRIT Rate increase for the wearer's first attack if current CRIT DMG reaches 120%. Cosmic Life Sciences Institute scales damage from Max Energy at combat entry when it is at least 200. These conditions are distinct from the Trailblaze Companions check.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The 32% CRIT DMG bonus depends on both the wearer and another teammate meeting the specified character condition at combat entry.
- The 8% CRIT Rate applies regardless of that conditional CRIT DMG trigger.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming any teammate activates the CRIT DMG effect; both characters must meet the Trailblaze Companions condition.
- Expecting the conditional effect to check team composition later in combat; it is specified for combat entry.
