Useful when…
- Increasing a high-Max-Energy wearer's damage in combat
- Comparing Planar Ornament options for a damage dealer
What does the two-piece effect do?
The two-piece bonus checks the wearer's Max Energy when entering combat. At 200 Max Energy or less, it grants no damage increase. Above 200, each excess point adds 0.2% damage dealt, up to 32%. That reaches the cap at 360 Max Energy: 160 excess points × 0.2% = 32%. The stated trigger is entering combat; the effect does not describe a changing bonus based on current Energy.
When should a player consider it?
Consider the set when the wearer has more than 200 Max Energy and benefits from increasing their own damage. The scaling makes the wearer's Max Energy a direct factor in the value: for example, 250 Max Energy corresponds to 10% increased damage (50 excess points × 0.2%). At 200, the set's stated damage bonus is zero, and values above 360 do not increase it further. The bonus is described for the wearer, so do not assume it also raises teammates' damage.
How does it compare with other Planar Ornaments?
The alternatives have different conditions. Arcadia of Woven Dreams scales its damage bonus with the number of ally targets on the field and also benefits the wearer's memosprite. Revelry by the Sea gives 12% ATK, then adds DoT damage at its stated ATK thresholds of 2,400 and 3,600. Fallen Star Anchorage gives 8% CRIT Rate and grants 32% CRIT DMG on entering combat if the wearer and another teammate are both Trailblaze Companions characters. Compare those conditions with the wearer's Max Energy and damage type before choosing; none is an unconditional substitute for another.
What should players avoid overlooking?
Do not estimate the bonus from current Energy: the condition refers to Max Energy at combat entry. Do not count the first 200 Max Energy as excess; only points above 200 contribute, and the increase stops at 32%. This is a two-piece set effect, so it requires two pieces to activate.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its damage bonus depends entirely on Max Energy above 200 and is capped at 32%.
- At 200 Max Energy it provides no stated damage increase, while other sets may suit different damage conditions.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating current Energy as the trigger instead of Max Energy at combat entry.
- Counting Max Energy up to 200 toward the bonus or expecting more than 32% above 360 Max Energy.
- Assuming the wearer's damage increase also applies to teammates.
