Understand Revelry by the Sea
Useful when…
- Use it for a DoT damage build that benefits from ATK and can reach one of the listed thresholds.
- Check whether the wearer can reach 3,600 ATK if aiming for the larger DoT bonus.
What does it grant?
The two-piece effect increases the wearer's ATK by 12%. At 2,400 ATK or higher, DoT damage dealt by the wearer increases by 12%; at 3,600 ATK or higher, the DoT damage increase is 24%. The DoT bonus depends on the wearer's ATK meeting the threshold.
How should you assess the threshold?
Check the wearer's ATK with the set's 12% ATK increase included. The 2,400 threshold activates the 12% DoT damage bonus, while 3,600 reaches the 24% tier. If the wearer is below 2,400, the ATK increase still applies but neither stated DoT threshold is reached.
How do other damage sets compare?
Cosmic Life Sciences Institute uses the wearer's Max Energy at combat entry to scale damage, while Firmament Frontline: Glamoth uses SPD thresholds for its damage bonus. Arcadia of Woven Dreams uses ally count and affects the wearer and memosprite. Those conditions differ from Revelry's ATK-gated DoT damage bonus.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The DoT bonus requires at least 2,400 ATK, with the higher amount requiring 3,600 ATK.
- The additional damage benefit is specifically for DoT damage dealt by the wearer.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting the DoT damage bonus without checking the wearer's ATK threshold.
- Treating the 3,600 ATK tier as a 24% increase to all damage; the description specifies DoT damage.
