Understand Thief of Shooting Meteor
Useful when…
- Use two pieces for the 16% Break Effect increase.
- Use four pieces for more Break Effect and the Energy trigger when the wearer inflicts Weakness Break.
What does four pieces add?
Two pieces increase Break Effect by 16%. Four pieces add another 16% Break Effect, and when the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on an enemy, they regenerate 3 Energy. The Energy effect is tied to the wearer inflicting the break, not merely to an enemy being broken by someone else.
Who benefits from the trigger?
The set suits a wearer whose damage or role uses Break Effect and who can inflict Weakness Break. The Energy gain is conditional on that break event, while the Break Effect increases do not state a separate trigger. If the wearer rarely causes Weakness Break, do not count on the four-piece Energy effect as a regular source.
How do alternatives differ?
Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge also supports Break Effect, but its DEF ignore requires 150% Break Effect and its additional Super Break DEF ignore requires 250%. Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters instead rewards damage to debuffed enemies and scales CRIT DMG with debuff counts, increasing those effects temporarily after the wearer inflicts a debuff. Genius of Brilliant Stars ties its extra DEF ignore to Quantum Weakness. These alternatives have distinct conditions and damage profiles.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The 3 Energy regeneration only occurs when the wearer inflicts Weakness Break.
- The set is specialized toward Break Effect rather than a general damage stat package.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting Energy when an ally rather than the wearer inflicts Weakness Break.
- Counting the four-piece Energy effect as unconditional Energy regeneration.
