Understand Saber
Useful when…
- Deal damage to multiple enemies with her Ultimate and enhanced Basic ATK.
- Build Core Resonance through ally Ultimates, then spend it with her Skill when its full Energy-regeneration condition is met.
Core Resonance and Skill
Saber enters combat with one Core Resonance point. Separately, when any ally uses an Ultimate, she gains three points and her damage dealt increases by 30% for two turns. Each point consumed restores eight Energy. Her Skill deals Wind damage to one enemy and adjacent targets; at level one, the listed multipliers are 0.75 for the main target and 0.375 for adjacent targets. If she has Core Resonance and consuming it after the Skill can fully regenerate her Energy, the Skill multiplier increases by 7% per point consumed, then the points are spent to restore Energy. Otherwise, the Skill gains three Core Resonance points.
Ultimate and enhanced Basic ATK
Excalibur deals Wind damage to all enemies and adds ten damage instances, each directed at one random enemy. After using it, Saber’s next Basic ATK switches to Release, the Golden Scepter, and only that attack can be used. The enhanced attack gains two Core Resonance and hits all enemies. If one or two enemy targets are on the field when it is used, it adds another hit to all enemies; the listed multiplier is higher with one target than with two.
Combat opening and ally Ultimates
Her Technique grants two Core Resonance and increases her ATK by 35% for two turns at the start of the next battle. During combat, ally Ultimates separately grant three Core Resonance and increase her damage for two turns. These effects can support a damage window, while her Skill’s amplified, Energy-restoring outcome still depends on the full-regeneration condition.
Progression and trace choices
Her listed ability tracks cover her Basic ATK, Skill, Ultimate, and Talent. Bonus traces include Wind DMG, CRIT Rate, and HP boosts. Upgrade costs are listed for promotion, abilities, and traces.
Comparisons
The listed comparison characters are also Wind characters: Feixiao follows the Hunt path, Robin • Summeretto the Remembrance path, and Black Swan the Nihility path. These path and element labels do not establish that they share Saber’s Core Resonance mechanics or are direct replacements.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Spending Core Resonance amplifies the Skill and restores Energy only when it can fully regenerate her Energy.
- Excalibur’s ten additional damage instances target random enemies.
- After Excalibur, her next Basic ATK is locked to its enhanced form.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Confusing the one point Saber gains on entering combat with the three points gained when an ally uses an Ultimate.
- Assuming every Skill spends Core Resonance and receives the multiplier increase; spending requires that it can fully regenerate her Energy.
- Treating Excalibur’s ten additional instances as all-enemy hits; each targets one random enemy.
- Forgetting that the Technique’s ATK and Core Resonance bonus applies at the start of the next battle.
