Herbalism
Herbalism improves herb gathering: the sources describe faster, easier collection and more herbs gathered in a single attempt.
How it works
The original-game perks page says players with higher Herbalism collect herbs faster and more easily, and that herbs are used in Alchemy at an alchemist's bench. It also says the skill allows the player to gather more herbs in a single attempt. The skills passage independently describes collecting more herbs with a single action. No quantities or thresholds are given.
