Farming professions
Farming profession choices can favor crop sales, animal-product sales, animal care, incubation, wool, or artisan goods, depending on the branch selected.
How it works
At Farming level 5, the sources list Rancher for increased animal product value and Tiller for increased value of eligible crops. At level 10, Rancher leads to Coopmaster or Shepherd; Tiller leads to Artisan or Agriculturist. Listed effects include faster crop growth, quicker animal friendship, and changes to incubation or wool production.
When it helps
Choose according to the farm activity you expect to emphasize: crop sales, animal products, processed goods, or animal care. The passages do not establish one option as universally superior.
The tradeoff
A profession specializes its benefits, so its value depends on what you produce or prioritize. Changing professions later uses the Statue of Uncertainty, and existing bonuses disappear when a change is selected.
Your next step
At the profession screen, compare the two options in your chosen branch against the crops, animals, and goods you use.
