Understand Accumulating Whipclaw
Useful when…
- Khora play that frequently hits three enemies with Whipclaw.
- Maintaining repeated Whipclaw use within the 10-second decay window.
How the bonus works
Hitting 3 enemies grants a stacking Damage Bonus to subsequent Whipclaws. The bonus is 10% per listed effect at rank 0, 20% at rank 2, and 35% at rank 3, and decays after 10 seconds. The condition is the three-enemy hit; the bonus applies to subsequent Whipclaws, not the hit that earns it as stated.
When it fits
This augment is suited to a pattern of catching or reaching at least three enemies with Whipclaw and following up quickly. If targets are too spread out or Whipclaw use pauses long enough for the bonus to decay, the stated stacking benefit is harder to maintain. The listed data does not specify a separate cap or exact decay curve.
Rank and slot decision
The Rare Khora augment has Zenurik polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 3. Listed rank-up steps cost 30, 60, and 120 Endo, plus 1,449, 2,898, and 5,796 credits. Rank 0 begins at a 10% stacking bonus; rank 3 raises it to 35%. It uses a standard slot, so weigh that increase against other Khora mods and available capacity.
Different Khora augment roles
Pilfering Strangledome is a loot-focused augment: enemies held in Strangledome have a 65% chance to drop additional loot. Venari Bodyguard changes Venari’s role in taking Khora’s place on death, with a 150-second recovery timer reduced by 4 seconds per kill. These affect loot and survival mechanics, respectively, rather than building Whipclaw’s stacking bonus.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Requires hitting at least three enemies to gain the bonus.
- The bonus decays after 10 seconds and the augment occupies a standard slot.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the bonus when the hit connects with fewer than three enemies.
- Letting the 10-second decay window pass and assuming the previous stacks remain.
