Understand Aero Periphery
Useful when…
- Reduce weapon zoom during aim glides.
- Use a low-drain Exilus option to adjust aim-glide visibility.
Effect and slot
Aero Periphery reduces zoom while aim gliding: 12.5% at rank 0, 37.5% at rank 2, and 50% at rank 3. It applies to Primary weapons, has Naramon polarity, and is an Exilus mod with base drain 2. Its listed effect changes zoom; it does not add damage or alter aim behavior outside aim gliding.
When it helps
Consider it when you use a primary while aim gliding and want a wider, less magnified view. Other listed primary mods focus on damage effects: Combustion Beam causes a delayed explosion after a kill, Hunter Munitions gives a chance to apply an effect on critical hits, and Hunter Track increases status duration. Those comparisons address different build goals and do not substitute for zoom adjustment.
Ranks and cost
The mod has three ranks. Rank steps cost 10, 20, then 40 Endo, and 483, 966, then 1,932 credits. Max rank reaches the listed 50% reduction, but lower ranks already provide some reduction. Invest according to whether the altered zoom is useful in your aim-glide handling. The supplied acquisition information lists Ganymede Disruption rotation A and multiple Amalgam or Aurax enemy sources.
Limitation
The reduction is conditional on aim gliding and only fits a primary weapon Exilus slot. Do not expect it to change zoom while firing or aiming on the ground based on the stated effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Uses a Primary Exilus slot for a zoom adjustment rather than a damage effect.
- Benefit is limited to aim gliding.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting reduced zoom outside aim gliding.
- Installing it on a weapon type other than Primary.
