Useful when…
- Increase maximum ammunition for an Archgun.
- Use a low-drain standard mod slot to address an ammo-capacity constraint.
Effect and fit
Ammo Chain grants +16.7% Ammo Maximum at rank 0, +66.7% at rank 3, and +100% at rank 5. It is a standard Archgun mod with Naramon polarity, base drain 2, and maximum rank 5. It is incompatible with Primed Ammo Chain.
Rank investment
The first rank costs 20 Endo and 966 Credits; the final step from rank 4 to 5 costs 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits. Choose ranks according to how much extra capacity is useful to the Archgun setup. The percentage changes maximum ammunition, not damage.
Different ammo-related options
Primed Ammo Chain lists +165% Ammo Maximum and is incompatible with this mod. Archgun Ace instead triggers on a headshot kill, granting +50% Fire/Charge Rate and +100% Reload Speed for 9 seconds. These are different effects and conditions, not automatic substitutes.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Spends a standard Archgun mod slot on capacity rather than an offensive or handling effect.
- Its maximum-rank upgrade is more expensive than the early ranks.
- Cannot be equipped with Primed Ammo Chain.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Confusing ammo maximum with damage or ammunition efficiency.
- Trying to equip Ammo Chain alongside Primed Ammo Chain.
