Understand Cleanse Corpus
Useful when…
- Add the listed damage multiplier against Corpus with a compatible shotgun.
- Use the standard version when its x1.3 maximum is sufficient without the Primed version.
Effect and compatibility
Cleanse Corpus is a standard shotgun mod with Madurai polarity, base drain 4, and maximum rank 5. Its listed multiplier is x1.05 at rank 0, x1.2 at rank 3, and x1.3 at maximum rank.
Rank costs and variants
The listed fusion steps cost 20, 40, 80, 160, and 320 Endo, with Credits rising from 966 at the first step to 15,456 at the final step. Flawed Cleanse Corpus has a lower drain and reaches x1.12; Primed Cleanse Corpus reaches x1.55 at rank 10. The three variants are listed as incompatible, so they cannot be stacked together.
Use and limits
The bonus is tied to Corpus opponents, so its value depends on the target faction and available mod capacity. Accelerated Blast instead lists Fire Rate and Puncture; it is not a Corpus-specific multiplier. The listed multiplier describes the mod’s effect and should not be read as the weapon’s final damage.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Faction-specific effect may have limited value outside Corpus fights.
- Ranks cost increasing Endo and Credits; base drain is 4.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the Corpus multiplier applies against other factions.
- Trying to equip multiple Cleanse Corpus variants together.
- Treating the listed multiplier as final weapon damage.
